Sarah Yeo delivers a unique blend of original folk/country style songs, with a beautifully rich, soulful voice and engaging stage presence, that leaves audiences spellbound.
Sarah’s mature songwriting, accomplished musicianship and engaging style, gives audiences a flavour of British songwriting at its
finest. Recently this ‘Blues and Roots and International Song competitions Finalist, has shared stages with artists such as Kezia Gill, The Wandering Hearts & Ward Thomas and has performed pre-show at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Bonnie Raitt’s 2023 UK tour. Also recently has performed at The British Country Music Festival, West Country Music Festival, Buckle and Boots and many more festivals and venues both here and the US.
The recent studio album release of The ‘Wisdom of the Wind’ received some incredible reviews, including 4 stars from RnR Magazine “A gloriously tuneful and thought provoking gem of an album”.
Sarah is now set to release her thirteen track acoustic album entitled “The Circles Of The Grain” This stunning collection of songs encircle the idea that everything, every possession, thought, energy and living thing will eventually return to the ground.
Sarah’s delicate guitar playing is the perfect backdrop for that rich warm voice to shine through.

One of the UK’s high rising songwriters Sarah Yeo, performs material in her own "beautiful voice” (BBC) from Joan's early career from the first recording, 'Harvard Square' and onward through her lengthy journey to date, telling pivotal stories and singing key songs from the Newport Festival days, her years in Nashville, activism around the world, her relationship both on and off the stage with Bob Dylan, and her love of recording just great songs.
The set list takes note of the current political climate and includes self penned songs 'Diamonds and Rust', 'The Winds of the Old Days', Dylan greats such as ‘Love Is Just A Four Letter Word’, 'There But For Fortune’, ‘Farewell Angelina’ and the wonderful catalogue from songwriters Stevie Wonder, Phil Ochs, Janis Ian and not forgetting the early Folk covers, ‘The Banks of the Ohio’, ‘House of the Rising Sun’ and many more hits.
Sarah, a recent finalist in the 'International songwriting competition', also delves into the Spanish language repertoire Joan loved so much.
Sarah's 'warm rich voice' with sweet higher notes, lends itself perfectly for this special evening of songs and stories.
As Sarah learns more about Miss Baez’s life and career, she feels she can relate to her in many ways, making the project a very personal, interesting and inspiring experience.

The new album is on its way and I am so excited to share these songs with you!
I've been writing the album for the last couple of years and Ive picked my favourates of that collection. Theres alot of emotion in these songs especially the final track called Your Dragonfly (Missys Song) written hours before the final recording session.
I was a little nervous of doing an album which is acoustic based bacause I do love the production of most albums I listen to.. but George at Rapunzel made it all work so well.
I am really looking forward to getting out there to some fantastic new venues this Autumn to tour this album and see you all. Its going to be so much fun!

Sarah Yeo has been making an impression on the live music scene, performing in venues both large and small, throughout the UK. In recent years she has won fans in the USA, with live shows in New York City and California. Sarah has shared stages with many artists who are celebrated performers and songwriters such as Ward Thomas and The Wandering Hearts.
Devon Based Sarah, has been a finalist in the 2019 and 2020 International Blues and Roots songwriting competition and a semi finalist in the prestigious 2024 UK Songwriting Competition, with her “glorious” recent single ‘Leap Of Faith’ from the ‘Wisdom Of The Wind’ Album.
Sarah has always had her roots in the Country, Folk and Americana genres drawing influence from artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Gretchen Peters and Show Of hands. This is reflected in her insightful, versatile and sensitive songwriting, accessing a broad musical vocabulary that audiences find moving and relatable.
Her “Beautiful Voice” (BBC Introducing) “soaring, soulful and rich”, is the perfect vehicle to express her engaging songs that captivate listeners across the globe. During her music career she has released five EP’s and Albums and several singles including a cover of Constant Craving, which received KD Lang’s approval. Sarah’s early works were produced by Richard Digby Smith of Island Records who also produced records for Led Zeppelin and Bob Marley.
Always looking to grow and develop as an artist, Sarah has recently collaborated with world renowned pedal steel player Sarah Jory. Together they have created a distinctive and electric sound which they have brought to venues throughout the South of the UK
Having achieved so much so far, with a recent notable appearance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. In addition to her own career, Sarah has worked tirelessly to bring awareness of other artists and the vibrant South West music scene to a wider audience. Sarah’s reputation as an accomplished singer songwriter is growing.
The next few years of Sarah’s career are set to be the most exciting yet, with the continuation of her latest album tour ‘The Wisdom Of The Wind’ and the following planned studio album for 2026.
